Pig trade
- The main activity quickly became the pig trade at a time when the fruit farms of each village had an independent cheese maker. They bought milk from farmers and used the serum, by-product of cheese making to feed pigs.
- The BUTTAY company supplied the little pigs which it bought in the center of France then in the southwest in the Toulouse region. Once they reached the slaughter weight, she bought them back from the fruit growers. to sell them to wholesale butchers in the Haute-Savoie department, as far as Chambéry. A trade of the same nature was carried out with peasants who at the time fattened pigs for their own needs and also to supplement their income.

- Another Chablais resident, Mr. Raymond BURGNARD based in Bons en Chablais, exercised the same profession of pig trade. Rather than being competitors, they decided to create a de facto company which lasted for more than twenty years. Three of the founders were relieved by one of their children and even by two for one of them: Roland, Gilbert brother of Robert and Antoine.
- The activity evolved towards the significant development of the cheese trade. In fact the fruit trees Local businesses operated by independents were disappearing for the benefit of large companies.
- Until the 2000s, the company sold “à la Chine” in Chablais: hotel-restaurants, communities, grocery stores, farmers with two peaks of activity in the winter and summer seasons.
